Overview
Based on-site with business users in our New York office, be a key part of a small Agile development team split across the New York, NY and Cary, NC offices, developing and enhancing systems for the trading and pricing of Convertible Bonds and Equities.
While all our team members across both sites have end user engagement and own development of specific features, bug fixes or mandated upgrades, from definition to completion following an agile user story based development approach.
The developers based in the New York office, will have greater responsibilities and opportunity for end user interaction, especially when it comes to dealing with complex support or change scenarios that may be easier to discuss in person or while shadowing a user trying to perform the task.

• Co-ordinate with end users on the timely implementation of system changes
• Ensure adequate prerelease testing and post release checks are implemented
• Define implementation roll out and roll back plans, and document appropriately using our enterprise tooling (servicenow, Jira, IBM udeploy and others)
• Monitor performance of the production environment and align capacity and configuration to ensure capacity to match business activity projections and plans Skills You'll Need
• Experience developing and supporting Java, Spring Boot based applications
• Experience with agile development methodology
• Experience with writing ad-hoc Structured Query Language (SQL) queries for data analysis and issue investigation
• Ability to write and debug Unix script
• Experience with strong enterprise change management processes, to ensure tight controls and high quality of software releases to the production environments Skills That Will Help You Excel
• Familiarity with the key concepts of Fixed Income or Equity Instruments product set
• Familiarity with Apache Cassandra or other NoSQL database
• Familiarity with automation tools such as ansible and control-M Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $142,250 . Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
